Coffee Talk with ESCO Vol. 18 • Phoebe Chok

As the saying goes, “All work but no play makes Jack a dull boy.” In every volume, Coffee Talk with ESCO chats up our team to find out more about their passion off-work. We are excited to have Phoebe Chok, Finance AVP of ESCO Singapore to share with us about her passion for travelling.

Hello, My name is

Phoebe Chok

AVP of Finance, ESCO Singapore

''Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.''

Even though the quote is not entirely true as you are able to get wealthy by just investing in a new house or even buying stocks, you can never go wrong with travelling. I always love to travel the world as it brings joy to me and I am able to gain more experiences and also make new friends. With travelling, I feel relaxed all the time and at the same time, create new memories that will be kept with me for a lifetime. Here are some picture collages that I took during my trip to various countries.

Taiwan: ''The Taiwanese are very friendly.''

Switzerland: ''It is such a peaceful country.''

Paris: ''Paris is the city of love and romance and it would be great if you travel with a partner.''

Australia: ''Whenever I travel to Australia, I will think of the Koala Bears.''

Sydney: ''It is such a beautiful harbour city''

London: ''When I visit London, it always reminded me of the London Bridge song''

Turkey: ''Turkey is a modern country with a captivating blend of antiquity''

Macau: ''Macau is known to be the Vegas of China and it is known for all its glamour, gamble, inspiring heritage, and a picture-perfect skyline''

Hong Kong: '' If you ever going to Hong Kong, don't bargain if you intend to not buy the items there''

Out of all the places I have gone to, New Zealand is my favourite country. In order to travel around New Zealand, you should rent a camper van as you will be able to stop anywhere to catch beautiful sceneries. I will never hesitate to visit New Zealand again.

Overall, I believe that travelling helps me to find myself.
