ESCO & The Global Presence Alliance (GPA) Make a Splash at InfoComm Southeast Asia 2019

The last InfoComm Southeast Asia exhibition was held in Singapore in 2005. Fourteen years on, the decision to host the show in Bangkok (15-17th May 2019) was met with cautious optimism. Having established ourselves as one of the prominent regional integrators and recently established an office in Thailand, ESCO decided to take the plunge.

At the booth, ESCO showcased products from:

Products aside, ESCO was keen to showcase our regional capabilities and flew in representatives from Singapore, Indonesia, India, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Philippines and Korea. ESCO also represent the Global Presence Alliance in most parts of Asia and we were eager to speak with global end users and showcase our methodology for global deployments.

Global Presence Alliance Director, Mike Stead specially flew in to the show and gave a talk about “The Problem with Global Deployments” at the AVIXA booth. During the session, Mike highlighted the important factors of consideration for formulating a global strategy such as currency fluctuations, import restrictions, equipment availability and vendor selection. The packed session was well received by several high-level end users who now had a different perspective on their deployment strategies.

Amit Palekar (VP Sales) and Christopher Lim (General Manager) from ESCO were also given the opportunity to speak during the InfoComm speaker sessions. Amit covered ESCO’s work with Global Indian International School and gave an overview of the technology that went into it, making it one of the most impressive smart campuses around. Christopher gave examples of ESCO’s work with Zoom in the modern workspace, covering some key considerations for design and user experience.

We were honoured by the visit of many of our customers from the region who joined us at the show. They had the opportunity to witness the latest in AV first hand and hear from industry experts.

ESCO/GPA also hosted a roof top dining experience for end users. Generously sponsored by Crestron, it was held on the rooftop of Mövenpick Hotel and afforded the opportunity for an intimate networking session accompanied by good food and drinks. Thomas Marcher (Executive Director, SEA) and Jacques Bertrand (VP of Sales, Asia) also graced the event with their presence.

Overall, InfoComm Southeast Asia 2019 was a success. There were keen interests in the products on display and a good turnout of end users where we had an opportunity to reinforce the ESCO and GPA brand.
