Writer: ESCO Pte LtdESCO Pte Ltd

As the saying goes, "All work but no play makes Jack a dull boy." In every volume, Coffee Talk with ESCO chats up our team mates to find out more about their passion off work. We are excited to have Jo, Marketing Executive of ESCO Philippines to share with us about his love for sports!

Hello!

My name is Jo, Marketing Executive

Ever since I was a kid, I was already exposed to a lot of sports such as tennis, basketball, and badminton. Up until now, I try to make time to engage in these kinds of activities.

Even though my talents didn’t allow me to reach professional level, I am still glad that I am able to pick up sports at an early age because it has instilled in me a lot of life skills such as patience, discipline, and commitment.

To me, sports is more than just playing. It helps hone one’s character and discipline which are valuable in achieving success.

My Ultimate Frisbee Team

Being active in sports has given me a lot of memorable experiences too. I gained some lifelong friends along the way, bonded by the high and low moments we have shared in the field.

Because of sports, I am able to keep an active lifestyle and basically avoid some dangerous vices. Instead of having drinks during weekends, I’d rather pick up badminton racket or a frisbee.

I always promote fitness to people by playing sports, or anything that keeps us active like running or lifting weights in the gym. To everyone who wants to start an active lifestyle, I recommend you to try sports.

You get to learn new hobbies, meet a lot of new faces and have great experiences along the way!

"I firmly believe that an active lifestyle is beneficial for everyone, as it keeps us fit and healthy."

It also helps us be in a good mood throughout the day!
