This year, ESCO jointly participated with Sony Singapore, featuring audio visual solutions ranging from projectors, video conferencing and displays. The Sony 65” touch panel display at the booth’s entrance was a main attraction. It featured contents like hospital directory, emergency status, important health information and advertisement space, all of which are functional for touch panels at hospitals. |

This high quality display is a 1080i Full HD, has a High Brightness Panel which makes it ideal for use in bright light conditions, has DICOM-simulated Gamma capability and High-performance Scalar which provides accurate pixel-by-pixel image reproduction. This display also has impressive exterior qualities such as robust aluminum frame bezel for a sophisticated yet tough appearance, and an impact-resistant front panel made of tempered glass to protect the surface from damage.
Another featured product at the booth was the Sony PCS-XG80, an “industry first” video conferencing system that offers up to 1080i HD resolution and enables dynamic real-time collaboration with up to six participants. During the event, telemedicine was demonstrated using this groundbreaking system. Telemedicine is a rapidly advancing technology where medical information is transferred through an audio visual medium for the purpose of medical consultation, remote procedures and examinations.
ESCO presented a scenario of live telemedicine at the event, with the ESCO side acting as doctors and the Sony side acting as patients. The doctors side displayed a powerpoint presentation regarding smoking and tobacco, along with a presenter acting as doctor who further explained the health risks of smoking. |

The patients side at the Sony booth were able to view the entire presentation in real time, giving them the feel of being face to face with a doctor during health consultations. Telemedicine such as this, is highly beneficial in times of contagious disease outbreaks, reduces patient isolation and saves travel costs.

ESCO Audio Visual also brought along two of its own products; Hiflux and InfoMax. Dual functioning as a projector screen and whiteboard, the Hiflux screen increases the brightness of any projector by 1.6 times. Visitors at the booth were encouraged to try out the crossword puzzle projected on the Hiflux screen to give them a feel of this revolutionary product. |

The entire content displayed on the 65” touch panel display is managed by the InfoMax, a powerful digital signage software that is reliable, flexible, and cost effective. InfoMax makes content scheduling easy and supports various multimedia formats for digital signage purposes such as hospital directory, emergency messages and important health information.
Hospital Build Asia 2010 was held at the Marina Bay Sands, making it the second major event to be held at Southeast Asia’s newest entertainment destination. The expo and convention centre at Marina Bay Sands is Singapore’s largest and most flexible exhibition and meeting venue.
ESCO Audio Visual has gained encouraging feedback and fostered valuable partnerships throughout this 3-day event, and certainly looks forward to another year of participation!
